On behalf of Mini Bakeries Limited, we are seeking to recruit a reliable, experienced, and safety-conscious Driver to support the timely and efficient delivery of bakery products to customers within Mombasa and surrounding areas.

Position SummaryThe Driver will be responsible for safely transporting bakery products to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining company vehicles in good working condition, and complying with road safety regulations and company policies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, knowledge of the operating area, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service and vehicle safety.
Key Duties & Responsibilitiesa) Product Transportation & Delivery
- Transport bread and other bakery products from bakeries to customers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure timely deliveries in accordance with assigned schedules and routes.
- Assist with the loading and offloading of products and materials.
- Handle products carefully to minimize damage during transportation.
b) Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after trips.
- Ensure vehicles have adequate fuel, oil, coolant, and water.
- Report mechanical faults and arrange for vehicle servicing and repairs when necessary.
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition.
c) Road Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Observe traffic laws, road signs, and company driving policies at all times.
- Ensure safe driving practices, including avoiding mobile phone use while driving.
- Prevent unauthorized passengers or goods from being transported in company vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles have valid insurance, licences, permits, and other required documentation.
- Promptly report accidents, incidents, and traffic penalties in accordance with company procedures.
d) Route Planning & Time Management
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at customer locations.
- Utilize GPS navigation applications to identify appropriate routes.
- Maintain accurate daily mileage, vehicle movement, and trip records.
- Adhere to approved working and delivery schedules.
e) Customer Service
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers and other stakeholders.
- Support efficient and courteous delivery services to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Communicate delivery-related challenges promptly to the relevant supervisors.
f) Vehicle Security & Asset Protection
- Ensure company vehicles are securely parked in designated and authorized areas.
- Keep vehicles locked when unattended.
- Safeguard company vehicles, transported products, and other assigned assets.
g) General Administrative Support
- Support office purchases, collections, and other authorized administrative assignments.
- Transport company employees safely when required.
- Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time.
- O-Level education or above.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Minimum 5 years’ driving experience.
- Good knowledge of Mombasa and surrounding operating areas.
- Sound understanding of traffic rules, road signs, and road safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent driving skills and road safety awareness.
- Ability to use GPS navigation applications effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to identify basic vehicle mechanical problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of first aid management.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and follow assigned schedules.
- Strong commitment to safety and company policies.
