Main Duties:
- Responsible for preparing the room and equipment for patient examinations.
- Taking x-rays/performing radiological examinations as prescribed by a medical practitioner.
- Assisting the radiologist perform special examinations e.g. barium meals.
- Processing x-ray images, documentation and dispatching.
- Ensuring that examinations are carried out in consistency with the procedure protocols,
- patient conditions, physical abilities and age requirements
- Maintaining a radiological register of patients.
- Maintaining the consumables register
- Participating in the planning and execution of the department CME
- Providing image intensifier services when required
- Providing radiographic services in Cath-lab.
Required Qualifications for the Position
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or BSc Radiography.
- One (1) – Three (3) years working experience.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority (KNRA).
- Registered, up to date member of the Society of Radiography Kenya (SORK).
- Hands-on experience in MRI and CT
