Job Summary:

The County Public Service Board Wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons on permanent and pensionable terms to fill the following positions in the department of Education.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Deployed in the Vocational Training Centre as a trainer in the relevant field of specialization
• Giving theoretical and practical instruction in their area of specialization;
• Preparing and maintaining professional records Carrying out training assessment.
• Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Conducting Co-curricular activities.
• Maintaining Trainees discipline and Counseling.
• Monitoring trainees on fieldwork, industrial attachment and compiling progress report of budgets;
• Any other duties may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

The office holder will report to the Senior Vocational Training Officer. For appointment to this grade, the officer must have the following:

• Diploma / Level 6 in Hair dressing and Beauty Therapy/Cosmetology from a recognized Qualification Awarding Institution;
• Be licensed by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA)
• Pedagogical training will be an added advantage
• Must have worked as a trainer in a Vocational Training Institution;
• Proficiency in computer applications from a recognized institution;
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
