No. Monica is an AI hiring platform with a team of data scientists, software engineers and HR specialists behind it. You can run hiring yourself, with applicant tracking, AI ranking, licence checks, interviews and scorecards, or send us a brief and our team runs the search and sends you a shortlist. Many employers do both.
How does Monica use AI?
AI reads every application against the job, scores the fit and lists strengths and gaps, so the strongest people rise to the top. It ranks our candidate pool against hiring briefs, picks the right new jobs for each job seeker every morning, and checks the adverts we collect for scams and closed vacancies before they go live.
Does AI decide who gets hired?
No. AI ranks and explains; people decide. You see the reasons behind every score, and on a hiring brief our HR specialists review every shortlist before it reaches you.
What is an applicant tracking system?
An applicant tracking system, or ATS, keeps every applicant for a job in one place and moves them through stages such as reviewing, interview and offer. On Monica each applicant is also read against the job and ranked, so you start with the strongest people instead of the newest.
How does Monica check professional licences?
We match candidates against the public registers that Kenya's regulators publish, including the Nursing Council of Kenya, the Clinical Officers Council, KMPDC, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, the Engineers Board of Kenya, BORAQS and KNDI. Registers are re-checked regularly, so a lapsed licence is flagged.
Can I search for candidates who have not applied?
Yes. Candidates who choose to be discoverable can be searched by occupation, skills, county, licence status and when they can start, saved to a list and contacted from Monica.
Does Monica work for locum and shift cover?
Yes. Hospitals and clinics post a shift, licensed clinicians nearby are alerted at once, and the first to accept is booked. Both sides rate each other after the shift.
